We Can Give You a Smile Makeover in Time for Your Wedding

Smile MakeoverWhen your wedding is fast approaching, you may be interested in getting a smile makeover before the big day. We can give you that gorgeous, flawless smile you desire in just one or two visits to our office in Albuquerque. Depending on how much time you have before your wedding, we can provide you with a variety of different smile improvement options. The longer you have, the more we can accomplish, but if you only have a few weeks, we can still drastically improve your smile.

How a smile makeover can help in time for your wedding

Six Weeks or Less until Your Wedding

If a patient has six weeks or less until it is time to say the vows, the improvement options we can provide are a little more limited, but they will still make a difference. If there are chips or cracks in the teeth, we can easily improve them with dental bonding. Our tooth-colored bonding materials can fill in chips and cover cracks, while also providing protection from decay.

If the patient simply prefers to whiten his or her teeth before the wedding, this time frame will allow us to lighten them several shades. We can offer at-home whitening treatments or in-office whitening treatments. In some cases, patients may just need a deep cleaning to achieve the white shade they want.

Three to Five Months

If a patient has damaged teeth that need a cap, this is an easy route to a more attractive smile that will last for years to come. We create each of our tooth-colored crowns to envelop the entire tooth for the highest level of protection against decay. Our crowns also give the tooth a whole look that is tooth-colored and realistic looking. Now, with three to five months to go until the wedding, the patient can also receive a dental bridge to replace where a tooth is missing if necessary. We can also place veneers over the fronts of the teeth for a straighter, whiter look that will create the perfect smile makeover.

Six Months Plus

If the patient has six months until the wedding day, the best option for replacing teeth is our dental implants. Implants take a little longer to place than other dental replacement options, but they last a lifetime and are as strong as natural teeth. Six months will allow the implant to fuse with the jawbone, creating the ultimate replacement for the missing tooth. In addition to implants, a patient can receive a combination of the other cosmetic improvements we mentioned above for an all-encompassing smile makeover.

One or Two Years

If a patient has over a year until the wedding day and has crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth, then the patient can receive orthodontic treatment. Orthodontics can straighten the patient's teeth and improve gap spacing for the most natural smile improvement. If the patient needs longer than two years to completely straighten the smile, then the patient can try an aligner method. Aligners can work to straighten the teeth right up until the wedding day. Then the patient can take the aligner out for the wedding day photos. Once the big day has passed, the patient can then continue the aligner straightening process.

These options are great ways to receive the wedding day smile makeover you have always wanted. Combine a few of these options, and you will have a smile makeover that perfects your teeth. To learn about which options are right for your teeth, visit our office or call us at (505) 359-2289.
